Western Sky after Lights Out
5 |
A view of the western sky after the local street lights have been turned off between 01.00 and 04.00 civil time, showing a generally much darker sky than the previous shot. Leo is visible in the western sky. The skyglow towards the NW is from Southampton which unlike Hampshire has not instituted a policy of partial night extinguishing of street lights on minor roads

Lights off
This is a great improvement, Andrew. I hope you have some clear nights between 01.00 and 04.00.
It would be wonderful if other authorities did the same.
