On the evening of 23rd November, 2012, BAA member Alan Tough captured a series of images of aurorae. He reports that this example of a bright, single ray at 22:36 UT was most impressive. The image was taken from just outside Elgin, Moray with a Canon EOS 60D and Sigma EX 24-60 mm lens. Exposure time was 15 Seconds @ f/3.2 and ISO-1000.
