A planetary nebula in Cassiopeia discovered by Marcel Drechsler in May of this year. Intensely faint. I believe that this is the first colour image of it.

Your catalogue of the more difficult objects develops at a pace. It is interesting to compare the structure in your Halpha LRGB image of this PN with what can be seen in the Capella observatory Halpha and OIII images. http://www.capella-observatory.com/ImageHTMLs/PNs/Dr27.htm

Thanks David. I stand corrected in that Capella beat me to the first colour image. However I'm very pleased with what I managed with twin six-inch apertures when compared with their 24-inch aperture image!

Very impressive Peter. An amazing image of a very faint object. I bet you wish you'd taken it five months ago! Keep up the good work.

It never ceases to amaze me that amateurs with small aperture telescopes are now competing with the professionals. It's the reason I haven't upgraded my 6-inch telescope.
