Trying out my new Samyang 135mm f2 lens for the first time at Kelling heath star party. We had 3 clear nights in a row, this image was taken on Friday night / Saturday morning. I don't mess about with the processing, just bung it into Astro Pixel Processor and see what comes out, so I'm sure others can do a lot better, my aim is to get something passable that I can show to friends and family to convince them that I am 'doing' astronomy when spending time camping with my buddies or locked in my observatory for hours... :-)

Looks like you got the hang of that new lens then Simon, great photo.

I knew from the reviews and from the stats that it was going to be good, but it was better than I'd expected. These images are at f2 (wide open), the lens is designed for full frame chips, some reviews say you can use it at f2 some say stop down to f2.8, but givn I'm only using the middle of the field with my APS C chip I figured it would be ok as f2.

I need to build a micro focus for it - which is on my 3D printer to do list - I built 3* for the nifty fifty and they worked really well.

* You build one, others see it and ask if you can make them one...
