Things turned out much better than I had expected given the weather forecast. I did have some cloud at first contact as you can see in the video here but I did at least see it.

Great job, despite the bad weather conditions. To observe the phenomenon I would have brought my equipment to the Duca degli Abruzzi refuge, in Campo Imperatore of the Gran Sasso d'Italia, at an altitude of 2400m. Unfortunately the sky has been covered everywhere by clouds. It was my intention to study the black drop phenomenon and detect timings. I'll try to do it with this movie.
