Webb Deep-Sky Society Annual Meeting
The re-arranged Webb Deep-Sky Society meeting - cancelled last December due to bad weather - will take place on Saturday June 18 at the Institute of Astronomy (IoA), Cambridge. All members of the BAA and their friends are welcome.
There have always been close links between the Webb Society and the BAA Deep Sky Section, with both the Director and Assistant Director being on the Webb committee.
Doors open at 9.30am with tea / coffee available from 10.00am.
Entrance fee is £10 which includes a buffet lunch and tea / coffee throughout the day. It is expected that the meeting will finish around 5.30pm.
Entrance to the IoA is a short distance from J13 (no exit from the north) of the M11 on the A1303 Madingly Road. Head east towards the city centre after leaving the motorway and the IoA will be found on the left hand side after about half-a-mile. There is plenty of free parking at the venue.

Wolfgang Steinicke - The M 51 mystery: Rosse, Robinson, South and the astonishing detection in 1845 of spiral structure.
