BAA SUMMER MEETING


Members are reminded that the BAA Summer Meeting, which takes place on 
Saturday, 7th July, is just four weeks away.



The meeting which is entitled 'Exploring the Solar System' will focus 
specifically on Europe's developing and increasingly important role in Solar 
System exploration.



The venue for the Summer Meeting is Hurst Community Centre, Hurst Place, 
Hurst Road, Bexley, Kent, DA5 3LH.

To book for this meeting, use the flyer that was included as a loose insert 
in the June BAA Journal, or use the form that is available on the BAA 
website.  Please send the completed form with your remittance to the BAA 
Office at Burlington House.



Doors open at 10.00 am for registration, tea, coffee and biscuits.  The 
programme of speakers starts at 10.30 am.

We are also inviting local societies to set up a static exhibit at the 
meeting venue and/or a display of solar telescopes in the extensive gardens 
outside.  If you would like to do this please reserve your space by emailing 
the undersigned at docjohn at dircon.co.uk



As an added incentive, all members of local societies who set up an exhibit 
on the day will be able to book at the BAA members' rate of just £12 for the 
full day meeting inclusive of morning tea/coffee and biscuits, a buffet 
lunch and afternoon tea/coffee and cake.  The members' rate also applies to 
all members of BAA affiliated societies who book.
