Dear BAA Member,
The meeting entitled "Observing Projects with Asteroid-Comet Connections"
aims to encourage the observation of asteroids and comets, highlighting
similarities between these two classes of object as evidenced by recent
findings. Future prospects will also be covered including amateur support by
way of observations of space mission targets to near-Earth asteroids and to
comets. We have speakers from UK universities, Italy, Ireland as well as BAA
members and Section Directors. Details of the event can be found at:
http://www.britastro.org/~rmiles/Documents/BAA_comet_asteroid_meeting_2012.pdf
There will be plenty of time for delegates to ask searching questions and to
participate in discussion. N.B. Your input will help shape the future
observing programmes of both the ARPS and Comet sections. There will also be
display boards available to exhibit your own observations/images.
