From baa-ebulletin at lists.britastro.org Wed May 3 16:03:13 2017 From: baa-ebulletin at lists.britastro.org (BAA electronic bulletins service) Date: Wed, 3 May 2017 16:03:13 +0100 (BST) Subject: [BAA-ebulletin 00975] The BAA Memoirs on DVD Message-ID: To accompany the existing DVD set of the BAA Journal, a limited edition DVD of the Memoirs has been produced. The Memoirs, issued at irregular intervals, mostly contained the longer reports of the observing Sections. Thus all the classic reports on Jupiter by T.E.R.Phillips, Mars by E-M.Antoniadi and the detailed lists of variable star magnitude estimates are to be found in this series of publications rather than in the Journal. There are also one-off publications, covering the History of the Association, Radio Astronomy and Artificial Satellites. There are Memoirs covering the Sun and solar eclipses, Comets, Meteors, the Moon and other topics. Many of them were copiously illustrated, and the very early planetary ones contained colour illustrations. The Memoirs DVD covers volumes 1-42, all of which were published during the first century of the BAA's existence (1890-1990). It is fully searchable. You can order your copy through the BAA Office or via the BAA online shop for a cost of £25 to members (£45 to non-members).
