Hello All,
I imaged the area of the ephemeris location  (from  Horizons) of C/2012 S1 ISON this morning at dawn (06:55 UT) in very poor conditions with a lot of cloud and haze at the horizon( latitude 58 north).
I was able to identify stars of around mag 12-13 on the cloud affected frame. I could not find any condensed object brighter than mag 11 at the ephemeris position. This does not rule out a very diffuse object being present. The poor quality of the frame does not allow me to state with certainty that no comet image is at the ephemeris position. Just that there is NO CONDENSED object there.

A question that needs to be confirmed is whether the comet is following the computed ephemeris position or was there was any diversion from the orbit
 during the dispruption phase.

The frame can be seen at the following location:

You must make your own judgment as to whether the frame is of sufficient quality to make any difinitive statement about the presence of any comet image on it. I present it at only as my attempt to image the area this morning.
