Comet 10P/Tempel is currently an evening object of around 10th magnitude, though not visible from the UK. I am in the process of writing a report on the brighter comets of 2010 for the BAA Journal, and to help with this analysis would welcome magnitude estimates of the comet made over the next couple of months.

2014 S2 (PanSTARRS) is visible from the UK and is a relatively easy target in large binoculars, though the moon is beginning to interfere with observations.

Regards,

Jonathan Shanklin
