Your latest obs of 29P show the comet was quiescent on 2017 Aug 23.45 as per 
your following:

Coma very diffuse.

CCD observations show it was quiescent on 2017 Aug 23.338 but was in 
outburst on 2017 Aug 23.668.
So your observation allows the time of outburst to be refined.
The new timing is 2017 Aug 23.56 +/-0.09
