Martin Mobberley has been doing a fantastic job of scanning the section 
print archive. There are boxes and boxes of photographic prints in our 
archive, some of which have not seen the light of day for 60 years or 
more, and which we are gradually placing on the web.

One comet with particularly good coverage so far is 1956r1 Arend-Roland.

You might need to refresh the page if you have been there recently. 
Those were the days when comet photography, even of bright comets, was 
very challenging and the results from 1957 are pretty amazing.

My thanks to Martin for doing this job for us. There are many more old 
prints left to do but plenty have been scanned already. It's worth a 
search around the archive to find them.
