Hi Nick,

A really clear exposition.

I've just run an ephemeris for the new WISE object - perihelion at 0.3 au on July 3.  A southern hemisphere object prior to perihelion, but quickly enters northern skies post perihelion.  Could be 6th magnitude on July 9, but would be fading fast.  Obviously the track is still a bit uncertain with an arc of only 5 days.

Excellent presentation and very topical. For anyone who didn't catch it look for the recording on the BAA YouTube channel.
One comment, the thumbnail image of you was blocking some of the text of your presentation. Not serious but would be better if it could be positioned in the bottom corner of the screen.

Morning all,

The BAA has had to cancel all of its physical meetings through the spring and summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To keep people in touch we are planning a series of regular webinars using Zoom. These will be held at 7pm on Wednesday evenings. They will last 30 minutes or so. The first of these will be given by me on the subject of C/2019 Y4 (ATLAS) and the prospects for this comet over the next couple of months.

Zoom works really well and many of you will already have used it. You can download the necessary software from Zoom here:

although this should install automatically the first time you join a meeting. You don't need to register.
