Andrew, Did you manage to get a visual view this morning? The forecast was right for Chelmsford and it cleared after 2am BST. I did a widefield image here: http://www.britastro.org/cometobs/2014e2/2014e2_20140805_0220_ndj.html which shows the faint tail(s). Using FOCAS and Kphot I get a visual equivalent mag of 7.3. Nick.
